Like I lost any time opportunities to even squeeze one more post in for July.
This month's excuse: living in a hotel room in Melbourne for two weeks straight.
Sure the company paid for accomodation, flights, dinners and boo-fay breakfasts.
However I cannot wait to be back in Adelaide in my own bed, harangued by kittens, blankets torn off me by my significant snoring other, en-suite toilet hissing through the night.
Sitting in a park, taking in the air this evening, watching a devil-fella black dog wander by from the shadows, I was hit by a warm breeze.
I thought, "I can't believe it's not butter, er... I mean Summer."
Compared to New Zealand this time of year, it feels to me like Spring is coming. Like the lambs and birds should be mating (preferably with their own species that is). Maybe I've contracted permanent jet-lag.
